How do I get paid?
As part of our team, you willl be hired as an independent contractor and paid 1099.
What do you check for in the background check?
To protect all members of the CDL family, a background check is conducted on all new applicants. We are looking for fraud and any related crimes. Credit is not a contributing factor.
Are there any up front fees?
There are no administration fees to sign with CDL. We require only an initial background check fee of $125.00.
Are you a Mortgage Banker or Broker?
Both, we have a correspondent division that gives you the advantage of improved pricing with personal and expedited service. We have also established hundreds of wholesale relationships with lenders that offer niche loan products.
What is your commitment to technology?
As a company value, we believe technology is the essential ingredient for delivering exceptional service. We have developed a pricing engine and online resources that will enable you to better assist your customers and expedite your closings.
Will I be able to contact the Lenders or Investors directly?
Yes.
Can I do business in other states?
We are licensed for mortgage directly in CA, NV, AZ, CO, WA, FL, HI, AK, OR, UT, TX with GA, NC, MD, MA, CT, TN, NY, VA, WI and NM pending approval.
What lenders can I use?
We have up to 200 lenders for you to choose from.
Can I do FHA or VA loans?
No, we do not currently originate any government loans.
Do I need to establish an office?
No.
Do you offer processing?
Yes, we have an experienced processing team ready for your loan production.
Do we have to use your processors?
No, but currently require you to use our processors for TX, NV and AZ loans.
Can we use our own title and escrow?
We have partnered with Investors Title which will expedite your pay and insure quality control on all loan production.
Can we use our own appraiser?
Yes, but you must always order them COD using our form found in the forms section. This will protect us and you from non-payment by the customer.
Do I have to be a licensed loan officer?
Yes, if required by state guidelines. We will assist you with licensing requirements.
Can I obtain a Capital Direct Lending email account?
Yes.
Do you provide any marketing materials for your branches?
Yes. We can address any specific request personally.
Can I add any lenders that CDL currently does not have approved on their lender list?
Yes, any new submission for a lender not already approved with CDL must include a check made payable to Capital Direct Lending for $100.00.
Can I use my own Account Executive that I have already established a relationship with?
For any lender already with CDL, you must use the assigned representative for that company. We don’t assign multiple account executives. No exceptions!
